Covid-19 Restrictions Update 5/11/2021

Dear Members & Friends,

We have received updated guidelines from Tennis Victoria and Frankston City Council (via the Victorian Government).

  • “On Court activity” for tennis can occur for any players regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Clubrooms can be open, however attendees must be fully vaccinated, be under 16 or have a valid medical exemption issued by the Australian Immunisation Register. See When outside below for Toilet info.
  • Each club is required to have a Covid Marshal checking vaccination status if you wish to use the clubrooms.
  • All players, parents and spectators MUST use the QR code to check in at the venue.

These guidelines differ from previous guidelines as they allow us to differentiate between on court activity and the club house.

The committee has agreed that the club house will be open with a Covid Marshal checking vaccination status at the following times:

  • Saturday afternoon from 12.45 pm;
  • When Night Competition is being played;
  • Monday Mornings;
  • Wednesday Afternoons.

At all other times the club house will be closed.

When the club house is open:

  • Entry will only be available via the doors facing Courts 1, 2 & 3.  Front door, side doors and internal clubhouse door (near Bar) will remain locked;
  • You must check in with our “clubhouse” QR code (different to the Courts/Grounds QR at the front gate).
  • The Covid Marshal will be wearing an Orange fluro. vest and check your tick on your phone or Immunisation paper certificate;
  • Capacity limits apply – 1 per 4 square metres = Max 30 People only in Clubhouse;
  • The bar may be open;
  • Face masks are required in the club house for ages 12+ (unless a medical exemption applies).

When outside:

  • Spectators are permitted in groups of no more than 30 (multiple groups must be spaced out).
  • There will be hand sanitiser available.
  • Entry to toilets is through the toilet door,
  • The committee strongly encourages everyone to be double vaccinated, thereby allowing us to fully open up and resume all activities as quickly as possible.

As always, thank you for your patience over the last several months.  The committee is doing all we can to make tennis at Overport park safe and enjoyable for everyone.
