Dear Members & Friends,
Following the announcement by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews yesterday, the committee is pleased to advise that the Club can now re-open further.
- Outdoor non-contact sport: allowed for adults and people 18 and under
Limited to minimum number of people to play and facilitate the activity (e.g. cricket may be played with two teams of eleven players and the necessary coaching personnel and umpires)
Non-contact means participants must be able to maintain distance of 1.5m
Playing Tennis:
- Members only at this stage.
Courts Available for Use
- All courts are available for use.
Booking-a-Court
- The Book a Court system will be on. Players MUST book a court via
https://play.tennis.com.au/overportparktennisclub
You MUST include names of all who are playing (+Add Player) when booking.

- Courts can be booked from 30 mins to 1 hour maximum
Other Specifics
- The club rooms will be closed until further notice however the toilets may be open if Coaching staff or a committee member is on site.
- There will be staff who will be sanitising regularly touched gates, handles, rails, toilets and there will be ample hand soap and hand sanitiser situated in the toilets.
- Everyone attending must sign-in, leaving name, date, time of play and phone number. The register will be inside the toilet block near the Coaches Room.
- The club BBQ is not to be used until further notice.
- When bagging the courts, players should not swap baggers and bag the courts from side to side (not up and down).
- Players must bring their own drink bottles with water for use whilst at the courts and are NOT permitted to use the water taps around the courts.
- Players should bring and use their own hand sanitiser.
- When using the PIN keypad on the front gate, ensure your hands are clean and use sanitiser after touching.
- No pre/post-match handshakes or hi-fives. Touch racquets instead.
- You must wear a mask to and from the club.
- Everyone must socially distance when not on the court

Before you play
Stay at home if you:
- Feel unwell
- Have flu-like symptoms
- Have a cold or runny nose
- Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Attending tennis activities
- Only people core to playing should attend tennis activities such as players, participants, coaches and operational personnel
- Only one parent/guardian should accompany younger children where possible.
- No sharing of equipment.
Behaviours
We recommend that members download the Australian Government COVIDsafe app.
To protect against infection, you should:
- Wash/sterilise your hands before and after you play and avoid touching your face while playing
- Cover your coughs and sneezes and dispose of any used tissue immediately
- Keep your distance from people who are obviously sick
- Be aware of what surfaces you touch.
