On Sunday 13th November Mount Beauty Tennis Club had its open day.

We thought the wet weather outlook would stop the event, but we decided to wait till 9am of the morning to make a final decision.

Just as well we did. We were lucky enough to find a few hours of dry weather to run the event, we were extremely lucky.

As soon as the event finished at 1pm there was a torrential downpour.

We had approximately 90 people attend. This is a great number of attendees for our small club.

Our club coach Geoff Hollow organised all the fun court activities for the day for both adults and children.

We had prizes for challenges on the tennis court followed by a final prize draw of the day for Australian Open ground passes and  Local shopping vouchers.

After that it poured, but we didn’t care at point as the day was a success.

A big thank you to the committee and the helpers that came along to assist on the day.

This day was sponsored by the Australian Tennis Foundation. They were excellent to deal with and very obliging. With the support of the ATF the club was able to host a very successful open day.
