Tennis Victoria is excited to announce that applications for Future Leaders 2023 are now open, but first here’s some information about the Future Leaders program.
Future Leaders is a development program for up-and-coming leaders in our sports community. Future Leaders is for students who are in school years 9-11 who are passionate about enhancing tennis experiences at their club. Future Leader participants don’t need to be tennis superstars as this isn’t a tennis camp, it’s a leadership camp!
Future Leaders has contributed more than 23,000 hours of volunteering in Victoria Tennis Clubs, so why not let your club be next.
Future Leaders 2023 looks a little different to previous years, so here’s how it looks for 2023:
- Students will complete their 3-day camp throughout the Grand Slam Tennis Precinct in Melbourne, including the National Tennis Centre & AAMI Park.
- Students will complete and receive their certificate in a Tennis Australia Foundation Coaching Course
- Students will experience Pickleball at MSAC
- Students will develop and refine their leadership experience and skills
- Students will undertake training in ClubSpark, Canva and Competitive Play systems
- Students will receive a Future Leader Hoodie
- Students will receive 3 x Tickets to graduation (Student, Guardian & Club Representative)
- Outside of their camp experience students will undertake pre camp learning and post camp implement a co-designed major project within their club.

Expression of Interests: Open 7th of July & Closes 1st August 2023
Pre-Camp Information Session: Details will be confirmed with selected program participants.
Future Leaders Camp: Wednesday 20th- Friday 22nd of September (Melbourne Urban Camp)
Cost: $220 (payable on acceptance)
