Presentation of Tennis Victoria Highly Commended Service Awards

At last week's AGM Tennis Victoria presented Highly Commended Service Awards to Colin & Lyn Price.

Colin was first elected to the MDJTA committee in 1980, a total of 45 years service. He has been President of MDJTA for the last 29 years. Colin was coach at Kings Park Tennis Club for nearly 40 years and was awarded the George Gilmour Memorial Trophy for Club Coach of the Year in 2003 and was inducted into the TCAV Hall of Fame in 2009. Colin was awarded Life Membership of Kings Park Tennis Club in 2005.

Lyn has been Secretary of MDJTA since 2001 and additionally Record Secretary since 2005. Lyn managed the association becoming an incorporated association and the implementation of the TROLS online system for MDJTA. Lyn was also a long serving committee members of Kings Park and was awarded a Life Membership in 2005.

Colin and Lyn have administered Australian Rankings Tournaments for many years and have taken on the task of reinvigorating the Lauriston Lawn Tennis Club.

MDJTA congratulates both Colin and Lyn on their awards and look forward to their continuing contribution to tennis.
