IMPORTANT!!! Updated Council Survey
Sun, 01 Mar 2026 00:00
Updated News- Please read our encouraging news!!
1. The Age newspaper has published a very supportive story today on pages 2 and 3 (Sunday March 1) and in their online edition, covering the importance of keeping our club-based tennis in Walker Park. Our president Doug was interviewed and our members, ages from 4 to 87 are enjoying time on court together.
2. We are very pleased that Whitehorse Council has responded to our concerns regarding the original Your Say page on its website as part of Community Engagement Round 2. Council has revised their approach and a replacement survey has just been published.
This Updated Survey gives the community a better opportunity to share their feedback directly with Council.
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS NEW SURVEY, EVEN IF YOU COMPLETED THE OLD ONE.
Could you please pass on this request to anyone you know who has already completed the survey? We must make all feedback count.
The project timeline has also been extended by another two weeks and the Community Engagement Round 2 will now close on Sunday March 29.
You can find the updated survey at: https://yoursay.whitehorse.vic.gov.au/walker-park-round-2
Please continue to gather signatures on our petition sheets and support us with the online campaign https://www.change.org/p/save-the-mitcham-tennis-club
and send your letter of opposition to Walker Ward Councillor Ben Stennett. [email protected]
