Passing Shots March Edition

A Bright Future Ahead for Tennis

A message from your Club President, Lee Pearson:

"It’s been a busy couple of months at the club, and no signs of slowing!  Great to see so many people continuing to join our social tennis, and our courts full with juniors at both pennants and Junior Club.
We have been working with the City of Swan, Tennis West, Tennis Australia and the State Government to progress planning for the upgrade of our hard courts – including a full resurface and lighting upgrades to LED.  We were able to secure a commitment from the Labor government that should they be returned, the Midland Sports Complex would receive funding towards a number of projects across the tennis and bowls clubs – for us, that includes funding towards the LED lighting upgrade and shade over the playground.
We were also successful in a Tennis Australia grant under the National Court Rebate program for funding towards the project, and received conditional approval from City of Swan, so we can start progressing works – very exciting.  As you will see below, we have also installed our online book a court system so you can access the hard courts any time they are not being used for coaching or pennants.  Hope to see you on the court soon!"
