Section 4 Grand Final Maccabi 6-36 def Mentone 0-0 W/O

The Maccabi Section 4 girls team were named Premiers in bittersweet circumstances. The team of Angelina KaminskyBella KaminskyDanielle EhrenreichBebe Kushlin and Laura Li won eleven of twelve matches in the regular season.  This was not enough to finish on top of the ladder though as there was an equally strong Mentone team that also won eleven of their twelve matches. So it was somewhat disappointing that Mentone were forced to concede defeat in the Grand Final prior to play in would have been a blockbuster matchup. Nevertheless, it does not take anything away from the strong performances by the Maccabi girls and the improvement they have displayed.

Well done Bella, Angelina, Danielle, Bebe and Laura.

Throughout the season, you all played with great effort, commitment and grace.

We are proud to represent and be part of the Maccabi family.

Wishing you all the best in next year league. We are sure of your success.

Sunday's section 8 win at the grand final versus Mentone was a tremendous victory, seeing the team finish their season with 100% wins!
The bonded team played together for both 2023 seasons, displaying beautiful team work and support for one another. The Stowe-Lindner brothers as doubles partners are a fun pair to watch.

The Section 11 boys team had a great season. We came third overall and got beaten in a close match in the preliminary final by 4 games to Mentone. It was 3 sets all. All the boys' tennis improved through the season and the camaraderie and friendship between the boys was great to watch. We all look forward to more tennis competition in 2024.
