On the eve of the 2023 Australian Open,  on Sunday 15 January 2023, Maccabi Tennis Club was delighted to host Australian tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis. Kokkinakis had been invited for a promotional appearance and media call by Somersby, which has been named as the official cider partner of the tournament. Kokkinakis shared the news in an Instagram post with his followers, which number more than 290,000, ensuring that images of the hallowed Maccabi Tennis Club courts would be circulated to and seen by tennis fans all around the world. Kokkinakis was happy to chat to players and keen observers at Maccabi Tennis Club.
