Tennis Victoria Country Week is the largest grass courts tournament in the world. This year the tournament was played in Yarrawonga with 1293 people competing in 205 teams aged between 15 and 83 years of age. Twenty-six grades contested over the week on 101 grass courts with 2376 Dunlop Australian Open tennis balls used.

Congratulations to 'Acing Gracefully'  - Team Captain Angela and players Ranya, Geraldine, Ashley, Lyn, Sylvie and Mary who brought home the win by a single game in the Women's C1 Grade.

In very hot weather conditions over five days under the leadership of Ange, the team did a fantastic job only losing two rounds. The pairing of Ange & Mary was a standout – they had amazing sets together and kept the team alive in the final. Lyn worked on her confidence during every round and showed what a resilient player she is. Geraldine was fierce and competitive, she gave every match her all.  Ash was a standout who won nearly every set played and was a huge asset to Captain Ange in deciding which player combinations to play and  match tactics. Sylvie, who is here on holiday from the UK, displayed a calm and relaxed nature under the heaviest of stress. Ranya played fantastic tennis, as she always does, adapting to the grass so well and never giving in.
