Meet the W&W Team -
Daniel Walsh is a Tennis Australia-qualified Club Professional Coach with over 15 years of coaching experience gained locally, nationally, and internationally. Growing up in Warragul, Daniel’s passion for tennis began early, and by his teens, he was competing in tournaments across Australia.
During his professional playing career, he competed on the ITF Pro Circuit and ATP Challenger Circuit, traveling to tournaments in Greece, Finland, Turkey, Egypt, the Netherlands, and across Australia.
An injury shifted Daniel’s focus to coaching, where he discovered his true purpose: helping others succeed. He found immense joy in teaching and working with players of all ages and abilities. Daniel has traveled as an ATP Tour Coach to prestigious events such as Wimbledon and the Australian Open and has been a key figure at Williamstown Bayside Tennis Club, where he has coached for 15+ years.
Daniel’s coaching philosophy is deeply influenced by his experiences as both a player and coach. He believes tennis is not just about developing skills but about overcoming challenges and finding joy in the journey. Whether working with aspiring professionals, beginners, or social players, Daniel creates an energetic and supportive environment while maintaining high standards.

James Wong is a Tennis Australia-qualified Club Professional Coach with over 15 years of coaching experience gained locally, nationally, and internationally. A Williamstown local, James discovered his passion for tennis at the age of six at Liston Tennis Club. By 15, he had earned two state titles and multiple club championships for Liston.
James’ extensive coaching career has included training and coaching at the prestigious Emilio Sanchez Academy in Barcelona, as well as roles at the Manila Racquet Club in the Philippines and Siam Bayshore Pattaya Resort in Thailand. Over the years, James has worked with players of all ages and abilities, helping shape them into state champions, national representatives, and college scholarship recipients.
James’ coaching philosophy focuses on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where players feel connected and inspired to achieve their personal best. He believes tennis is more than just a sport—it’s a journey of growth, resilience, and enjoyment. Whether working with beginners or elite players, James tailors his approach to suit each individual, ensuring they thrive both on and off the court.

Emily Walsh brings extensive experience in administration, client services, and business operations to her role as Business Manager at W&W Tennis.
Her professional background includes working as an Executive Assistant at Ernst & Young and roles in administration and customer service with leading brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Emily’s organisational expertise ensures that every aspect of the business runs seamlessly, from scheduling and accounts to client communications and compliance.
Emily’s introduction to tennis began over a decade ago when she met her husband, Daniel, in their hometown of Warragul. While not a player herself, she quickly became immersed in the sport, earning the title of 'professional spectator' and developing a deep appreciation for the game. Her close friendship with professional player Daria Saville (née Gavrilova) gave her unique insights into tennis strategy and the professional world of sport.
Emily’s passion for fostering inclusivity and her commitment to creating a supportive, community-focused environment make her an integral part of the W&W Tennis team. She is dedicated to supporting the coaching staff and ensuring every client enjoys a positive and professional experience.
