Congratulations to our own Marilyn Bunting on being recognised by Tennis Victoria for her contribution to the Liston Tennis Club by being named the Community Champion of the Month for May. 

Marilyn has been actively involved at Liston for decades and has contributed invaluable insight that has identied the changes needed to stay current and in touch with members' needs.  Having been a Committee Member for more than 20 years in the role of Club Secretary and currently Vice President Marilyn has created a long-term relationship with many Liston members and the City of Hobsons Bay Council Members.

Marilyn became a Life Member of the club in 2018.

Marilyn's contribution to women's tennis at Liston has been ongoing. She has been a powerhouse for the Midweek Ladies Competition in coordinating and recruiting players and being the contact point who is always available to take a call to encourage someone to join and answer any questions. Marilyn has also been intuitive and active in the opening up of opportunities for women to play outside of the competition structure, assisting with the implementation of Social Tennis at Liston. Pickleball has been another of Marilyn's passions at Liston and she has been actively involved in the planning and promotion of a trial Pickleball program. 

In her role at Liston Marilyn has also documented the history of the club and is actively involved in the planning for the 100-year celebration of the Liston Tennis Club in 2026.
