APRIL NEWSLETTER

Good afternoon and welcome to our April newsletter.

1. The Summer pennant at the BTRC has concluded and congratulations to Ironbark Emerson who , despite some off court distractions, won the B2 boys pennant ! Well done.

Unfortunately our B1 boys team  contracted Covid  before their semi final and were forced to forfeit. We did try to rearrange their match at a later date but that offer was refused. A very disappointing outcome. 

Finally , we had senior teams competing in both A grade and C grade grand finals but neither team quite got there. To these teams , and all other teams that competed this year well done, we hope that you enjoyed it and are keen to return next year.

2. Culture on Court. Thank you to those members who came along to support the club, it was a great day. Our role now is to contact the local schools and follow up with programmes to get these kids on court.

3. Working Bee. Again, thanks to those members who came along and helped dig out the weeds and tidy the court area up. Well done.

4. Court fees and membership. As of April 1st we now offer a six month membership. For example , a single adult membership is now $25.00. We have noticed an increased volume of players using the facility since the new courts were installed, which is fantastic ! Many of these are friends of our members and we would encourage you as members to get them signed up. If that is not an option, then we have introduced a $5.00 charge for a non member to play. There has been a box installed by the corner gate with instructions and envelopes plus membership forms. I have attached a membership form to this email. Remember, a member is covered by insurance if something should happen on court, a non member is not. 

Finally, there has been a very negative post about the club circulating on Social media including our Facebook page. I have written a detailed response and posted it on Facebook. If you have any queries about it please feel free to contact me.
