Good afternoon and welcome to winter. The club has not gone into hibernation, but this week will test us .There are a number of things happening that you might like to know about:

1. Thank you to all the members that have generously given to help Steffan and Halyna our Ukrainian friends.I can assure you that they greatly appreciate the assistance.

2. Thursday morning ladies Social Tennis will now commence @10.00 am starting this Thursday June 2nd weather permitting.

3. I attended a Tennis Vic conference at Swan Hill on Sunday the 22nd titled : "Thriving Tennis Communities". There were a number of different sessions covering topics, such as " Inclusion and Diversity" , " Making the Club a safe space for chidren" , "interaction with local schools", " Keeping the Club financially viable". These are all areas that  the club needs to address.

4. With that in mind there will be a committee meeting on wednesday June 8th commencing @7.00 pm. Any member who is interested in helping the club grow in the community will be made most welcome.

5. You may have noticed on our Facebook page and website a new logo Agnico Eagle. This is the new name for Fosterville Gold, who were generous enough to give us a $3000.00 grant to assist in a new project in getting local school chidren into Tennis.  Tennis Vic have a number of programmes which bring Tennis to Schools at no cost to the school. Our aim is to add to those programmes and get the children  from the classrooms to the courts, with a special emphasis on children who are suffering some type of disadvantage , whether it be social, financial, or a medical issue. I will keep you informed of any progress

For now, keep warm and get down onto the courts any chance that you get this winter. You will be better for it.

Adrian.
