Dear Howe Park Tennis Club Members,

We are excited to share important news about our upcoming court upgrade project. Singleton Council has initiated this project, which is scheduled to begin on July 8 and is expected to last approximately four months. They have engaged Court Craft NSW, a well-established company known for delivering excellent results, to carry out this essential upgrade.

Project Details:

  • Surface Elevation: We will be raising the playing surface, improving cross falls and improving drainage to alleviate future flooding.
  • Services: All underground services will be renewed, and lighting cables will be moved underground as well.
  • Fencing and Lighting: All existing fencing and lighting will be replaced to enhance safety and functionality.
  • Heidi and Coaching Staff: During the construction period, we are committed to ensuring that Heidi and her coaching staff can continue delivering coaching sessions at the venue.

Continuity of Club Activities:

  • Monday Night Competition: The Monday competition will continue at the Heights RSC courts on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights (grade dependent).
  • Thursday Night Social: Thursday social play will likely take place at the Heights or, occasionally, down the road at Branxton.
  • Saturday Play: Saturday social will continue on the grass, weather permitting.
  • Monday, Tuesday and Friday Social will be played on the grass courts

Subcommittee and Contacts: Our dedicated subcommittee, consisting of Mark Rix, Paul Brown, Paul Gray, Craig Miles and Terry Horn are working closely with the council to ensure the successful execution of this project.

For any inquiries or additional information, feel free to reach out to the sub committee.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this exciting phase of improvement. We look forward to keeping you informed of our progress as we enhance our tennis facilities.
