It was my great pleasure today to hand over a brand new racquet to our Sportsperson Award recipient for the 21-22 season - Will Latter from Piccadilly Club.

Will has been with the club for 10 years and has shown great commitment to our sport by assisting in Piccadilly's Open Court training sessions. He helps the club coach by working with adults of varying degrees of experience, making the sessions fun.

Will is always smiling. When the Club has needed a fill-in coach he’s stepped up willingly and helped out. He is recognised by his peers and coaches as very respectful, willing to take on new challenges and understanding the times to have fun and when to take things seriously in his game.

Will also won the Piccadilly Club Junior 2021-22 male sportsmanship award.

It is so wonderful seeing young people of Will's calibre being involved and giving back to their tennis community.

A huge thanks to Bruce at Tucker Tennis for donating 2 racquets to the HTA to allow us to reward the wonderful people in our Association. We look forward to being able to do the same this season.
