Dear HPTC Member,

Firstly, we would to congratulate the three teams who represented Hampton Park at the WDTA Grand Finals on Saturday, the 21st of March, as well as thank all spectators who came down to watch! 

In the morning, our junior B 2 Open Singles/Doubles team consisting of Stasi Patroungas, Erina Rashica and Tarun Jaiganesh put up an incredibly good fight against their ladder leading opponents, Lum Reserve. Having rattled their opponents in the first sets of their rubbers, our juniors unfortunately couldn't take the flag but earned a runners up banner for their great season. 

In the afternoon, senior players Lennox Poplestone, Tommy Palmer went to business, with support from Tommy Daly and Sofi Basir throughout the season. Lennox and Tommy P won their matches in straight sets to secure the senior Open B 2 Singles/Doubles flag.

In the other afternoon grand final, A res 5 team mates Aldwin Juico (AJ) and Alen Mustafovski clutched out a three set doubles victory 6-7 6-4 6-4, showing that they learned a trick or two from their regular doubles team mate Voldi Mendonce. This doubles win proved to be the deciding factor, with mid season fill in Jeremy Donohue securing the No. 2 singles victory in straight sets, and AJ losing the No. 1 singles in three hard fought sets. 

As we wrap up the summer season, we look forward to the WDTA winter season where Hampton Park will again host multiple junior and senior teams.
