Tennis Gove is the first tennis club in the Northern Territory to upgrade to the Tennis Australia blue and to receive funding through the Tennis Australia National Court Rebate Scheme. The funding from TA compliments the funding gained by GPTC, in obtaining an NT Government – Sport & Recreation Facility Grant in 2009, to carry out the major maintenance that was required to its 3 court facility. The final funds will be drawn from the clubs sinking fund that was established in 2001. Extra assistance has come from Perkins Shipping assisting the club with freight costs.

In the process, the club was able to add to its facility a new ‘Red Ball’ court for its juniors.
