Goolwa Tennis Club is Seeking Aspiring Coaches for our HotShots Program!

Goolwa Tennis Club is excited to offer sponsorship opportunities for tennis enthusiasts interested in becoming certified coaches for our HotShots Tennis program.

About the Hotshot Program: The HotShots Tennis program is designed to introduce children aged between 4 – 12 years to the world of tennis, focusing on fun, fitness, and the fundamentals of the game. As a HotShots Tennis coach, you will play a crucial role in shaping young athletes' first experiences with tennis, fostering a love for the sport, and developing their skills.

What We Offer:

• Sponsorship for Coach Training: We will cover the cost of your Trainee Coaching course run by Tennis SA and associated costs for the required Police and Working With Children’s checks.
• Mentorship and Support: You’ll receive guidance and support from senior club administrators and players to help you succeed in your new role.
• Community Impact: Make a positive difference in the lives of children and the local community by promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
• Remuneration: As a HotShots coach, you will be paid in accordance with the recommended hourly rate. There may be further employment opportunities from other Fleurieu based tennis clubs seeking coaches.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Tennis Enthusiasts: Whether you’re a seasoned player or just love the game, we welcome anyone with a passion for tennis aged 16 years and above.
• Motivated Individuals: We seek dedicated, energetic, and responsible individuals who enjoy working with children.
• Future Leaders: Potential coaches who aspire to grow within the sport and contribute to the development of young athletes.

Timeline:

Registration: The attached application form must be completed and returned via email to Fiona Lange, President at goolwatennis@gmail.com no later than Friday 9 August, 2024. Applicants will be interviewed during the following week.

Course: The Trainee Coaching course includes a short online session leading into the main program being held on the weekend of 7 & 8 September 2024 (subject to availability).

HotShots Tennis: The Goolwa Tennis Club is aiming to offer the program after school during 4th term 2024 & 1st term 2025. The number of sessions will be determined by the availability of coaches and the community demand.
