The club was thrilled to see a good number of local players enter with six Junior and one Opens player plus two ex-local Juniors (George Claxton from Armidale and Rebekah Schafer from Tamworth) entering the tournament. All of our players did the club proud with excellent sportsmanship shown and some great tennis played in all events. We had three juniors receive runner-up trophies (Lorelei Clifton, Ted Smith and Max Polschek) while Angus Lane reached the semi-final of a very competitive Opens losing to the eventual winner.
GIDTA thanks all the competitors for making it a great day and look forward to seeing you all again next year. We also thank the volunteers who helped in the canteen, office and on-court throughout the day - we cannot run these events without assistance from our members and we are keen to do it all again in 2026.
