Summer Leagues update

Following last week’s email, here’s an update for members interested in playing in the 2023/24 Tennis West Summer Leagues' competition.

Tennis West has released the revised formats for this season, and has increased entry fees by $5 per person versus the 22/23 season. The Club has therefore set up a payment page for the Adult Leagues’ Supplement, covering an individual fee of $60: Summer Pennants Payment Link

Captains should liaise with their team members regarding payment. Team nominations are required to the club by Monday 11th September.

Please also be aware that, if interest in competing is high amongst members, teams may be asked to consider accommodating suitable, additional players.

Team Nominations to Anne:               Monday 11 September 2023

Fixture Release:                                              Monday 16 October 2023

Season commences:                                       Saturday 28 October 2023

Finals:                                                              February 24 to March 18 2024

What's required:

• All players need to be aware that they must be financial members of FPTC, and pay the League Supplement in order to be part of a team.
• All players must have completed their Competitive Player Profile (CPP) / UTR in order to be added to a team.
• If a new player does not have a UTR then please suggest a rating when nominating for a team (for grading purposes only).
• Any player needing help with their CPP/UTR can use CPP guide or contact Tennis Services on play@tennis.com.au or call 1800 752 983.
• Team captains should be clearly nominated, with a contact phone number included.
• Team captains need to be aware of the changes to rules and regulations, including the changes in format (see attached file).

Summer Adult and Junior Leagues Season:

10 weeks of qualifying rounds (home & away).

Seven rounds before Christmas/New Year break.

Season restarts February 3rd 2024.

3 rounds of finals - qualifying, semi-final & final.

6 teams in each division - all teams play a first qualifying final.
