Congratulations to Nam Tran from East Burwood Tennis Club, who is Tennis Victoria's Community Champion of the Month for November 2023.  

President of the East Burwood Tennis Club, Nam Tran is setting the vision for the club, looking to rejuvenate their offerings and build the membership.

Nam transitioned the club to ClubSpark to ensure they are more digitally enabled. He works tirelessly to ensure the venue is meeting the community’s needs and is working towards the installation of Book A Court and upgrading the lighting to LED.

Nam is also leading the club's involvement in the East Burwood Reserve Masterplan, working with Whitehorse council and consultants to provide feedback on the plan and ensure the best outcome for the members and the broader tennis community.

The East Burwood contribution to the Whitehorse Thriving Tennis Communities Initiative was driven by Nam, progressing the relationships between council and clubs. Nam works to ensure that everyone is welcomed at the club, especially the large Vietnamese community that participate at East Burwood.
