Sports Minister Alister Henskens MP Visits Our Club

We were making a bit of a racquet out at East Albury Tennis Club this morning with Sports Minister Alister Henskens MP , for a funding announcement under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grants Program.
We had a hit out with some club members, while hearing about how they will put the funding to good use.
It was good to catch up with members such as Geoff, Rod and East Albury Tennis Club Secretary/Treasurer Lynne Aylmore who spoke about how the improved LED lighting would help them run night tennis competitions, providing clearer and safer playing conditions.
I believe in supporting local sport and the clubs and volunteers who make things happen for their communities.
Projects were also funded for Lavington Panthers Junior Football Club, @AlburyThunder Junior Rugby League, Ovens & Murray Water Polo Association, Lavington Football Netball Club, Corowa Clay Target Club and Culcairn & District Pony Club.
And I’m proud to say that since 2017 the NSW Liberal and Nationals Government has invested more than $2 billion in grassroots community sport, through infrastructure grant programs and the nation-leading Active Kids voucher program.
