The mid eighties in Clifton Creek were a busy time of community activity - fundraising and working bees. The Tennis Club was established and district tennis was HUGE! Whilst our Honour Board in the Hall notes the names of those who held office since the 1980's, there are many many people who were involved in those first decades of tennis at Clifton Creek.
In 2017 we had a "Back to .." celebration honouring those who were involved in the club - hundreds were invited.
Recently one of the founding members Wally Smyth was honoured in a lovely community function., 2 March 2024 at the hall. After a lifetime of community involvement at Clifton Creek, Wally is relocating to Eastwood. Wally was a foundation member of the CCTC back in the 1980s, instrumental in the construction of the three courts - both fundraising and grounds work.
