Juggling between  Covid postponements and lockdowns, the community celebration event finally went ahead on July 11th 2021.
Much interest was apparent after speeches by Carmel Flynn, CEO of Bushfire Recovery Victoria, Cr Tom Crooke from East Gippsland Shire Council and Sue Paul, principal at Clifton Creek Primary School. These organisations all contributed funds to enable the court upgrade.  Children and adults were keen to have a hit our on the new courts and Gavin & Toby, coaches from Bairnsdale Tennis Club  provided lots of fun activities and direction.  A healthy lunch and hot drinks were offered to all attendees.  Jade, our Club Development Officer from Tennis VIC helped make it a great day and to present the community with some brand new racquets as well as some novelty gifts for participants.
