Ball machine use

We have a ball machine for members to use to practice or in lieu of a hitting partner.

Set the ball machine up on the other side of the net, load it up with balls and you’re ready for a 30 to 90-minute practice/fitness session.

This is best for those who hope to use the ball machine multiple times.

Annual ball machine fees:

  • Adult: $60 per year
  • Junior: $30 per year
  • Family: $90 per year

We encourage annual ball machine memberships. It won’t take long to get your money back!

If you are interested purchasing the annual ball machine membership, please contact Tim at timber.me.shivers@gmail.com for further information.

You can only use the ball machine at the club.

Using the remote control you can choose and adjust the:

  • speed (up to 130 km/hr)
  • spin: slice and top spin
  • drills - preset or random

Read the Spinfire Pro 2 ball machine instruction manual

Help us to look after our ball machine by:

  • moving it carefully - don’t drop down the step from the coach’s room. Ask for help if it is difficult for you to move.
  • using only the balls provided. They are special long-lifespan balls - don’t mix them with regular tennis balls.
  • not using the machine when the courts are wet. If the synthetic grass courts are damp please play on the hard courts, as moisture reduces the life of the balls.

Packing up the ball machine

At the end of your hitting session:

  • put the balls in the buckets and return all equipment to the coach’s room
  • reconnect the battery charger so the ball machine is ready for the next person
  • return the instruction manual and remote control to the battery case.
  • lock the coach’s room.
