Carlton Gardens Tennis Club Welcome to CGTC
Introduction
The Carlton Gardens Tennis Club (CGTC) is one of Melbourne’s most charming tennis clubs, situated in the Royal Carlton Gardens within walking distance to the CBD.
The club has four LED-floodlit artificial-grass courts, under towering elm and oak trees. The heritage clubhouse has been fully renovated with change rooms, kitchen and a BBQ area.
The courts are open to the public via the convenient Book a Court system.
Playing at the Club
The Carlton Gardens Tennis Club has a strong culture of inclusiveness and we encourage both the public and our members to hire a court, participate in our social sessions or book a lesson with one of our professional coaches.
Private Functions
We are a small but very popular club and prioritise our courts for playing tennis.
Bookings for private functions to access the clubhouse, BBQ and courts are restricted to weekdays between 9am-5pm, with at least one court booked for the duration to play tennis.
Costs for private bookings are:
- $250 flat rate for Clubhouse/BBQ area
- $25 per hour per court
- $200 refundable deposit for cleaning
