The Annual General Meeting of the Burnt Bridge Tennis Club will be held at 2pm on Sunday, 10th September 2023.

Burnt Bridge Tennis Club is a great Club. It is managed by an awesome committee of elected volunteers, representing all members of the club, who carry out a wide range of functions.

We would love you to consider nominating for the Committee of Management (CoM). There are a range of opportunities for you to play to your strengths and bring your skills to the operation of the Club:

  • organisation of Junior, Senior and Night tennis competitions
  • club membership
  • secretariat
  • financial management
  • communication with members and outside organisations
  • court and clubhouse maintenance and cleaning
  • gardens and lawn groundskeeping

This year we are losing an important member of the committee.  Jan Kennedy, a longstanding member of the BBTC committee who has served as Mid-Week Convenor, Purchaser of cleaning supplies and cleaner and most recently as Night Convenor is moving out of the district.  She will be sorely missed and we thank her for her service to the club.

We urge all eligible members including Junior and Family members to consider nominating for the BBTC Committee of Management or to volunteer for helping with activities that do not necessarily require you to be a committee member.

For instance parents and Junior competition players can help on Saturday mornings by working with a Junior Members' committee representative to help Junior convenor, Rohan and our Coach, Daniel in organising play; reminding players that ball money is due; organising the canteen roster and manning the canteen; making new members and visitors welcome and organising social functions for Juniors.

The Minutes of the 2022 Annual General Meeting and Agenda for the 2023 AGM will be sent out 10 days before the AGM.

Please contact Bev Bencina (BBTC Secretary) for a Nomination Form.

Annual Working Bee

We need the help of all members at our Annual Working Bee. This will be held at 10 am Sunday, 10th September (the AGM to follow).

BBQ sausages and drinks will be available for purchase for lunch.

This is an opportunity to have the clubhouse, courts and grounds sparkling in preparation for our Open Day on Sunday, 1 October.

Open Day is an opportunity for all current members, prospective members and the broader community to celebrate our Club and enjoy a day of fun with tennis and other activities.

We look forward to seeing you at the Club.
