BBTC Show Courts Revitalisation Project

We are pleased to let you know that the project to revitalise our Show Courts 3 and 4 kicked off on Monday, 9 September 2024.

With your support, BBTC has raised $15,570. We have also secured funding support from Maroondah City Council (MCC) ($31,500) through the Capital Funding For Community Groups scheme and from Tennis Australia ($10,500) through the National Court Rebate program.

Exciting investment in court uplift (Show Courts 3 and 4)

This project will include new:

  • En tout cas sub- and top-surfaces for high quality play
  • Net posts
  • Line markings
  • Drainage

MCC will also fully fund an upgrade of the fences and gates surrounding the entirety of Show Courts 3 and 4 as part of our revitalisation project. This will cap off the presentation of our show courts in the best way. We are very grateful to MCC for this additional investment in BBTC.

Safety

During works being undertaken at BBTC, we will ensure pedestrian access to Courts 1, 2, 5, 6 and the Clubhouse are managed in a safe way. MCC will also assist with this.

The LED Lighting upgrade project (a $130k-$140k investment by MCC) is continuing to progress on Courts 5 and 6, and we may experience the two projects running concurrently.

The safety of everyone accessing the Club will be carefully managed and communicated over this transformative period.

If you notice anything that concerns you from a safety perspective that needs urgent attention, please contact me as soon as you can.

The Committee also very much appreciates your help in encouraging safe and healthy activity at the Club.

Donations

To assist us to pay down a modest, deferred loan we have with MCC, a tax-deductable donation campaign has been launched to help raise funds. Any help you can provide to connect folk in your networks into our campaign will be greatly appreciated.

SPONSORS

A big thank you to our wonderful BBTC sponsors who have contributed towards helping us realise investment and uplift in our tennis courts. We are very grateful for their support.
