BBTC is a great Club, made even better by the commitment of our dedicated volunteer Committee.
The elected Committee of Management represents all members and takes care of everything from competitions to court maintenance.
We warmly invite you to consider nominating for the Committee. There are many ways to get involved, depending on your interests and strengths:
- Junior, Senior and Night competition organisation
- Membership management
- Secretariat (Secretary role)
- Financial management
- Grant applications and coordination
- Communications (internal and external)
- Court and clubhouse maintenance
- Gardens and grounds upkeep
This year marks a special milestone: Beverley Bencina completes 10 years as Secretary—a fantastic
contribution to the club, both in visible and behind-the-scenes ways. Beverley will remain on the Committee as a valued general member, and we are now seeking a new Secretary to take on this key role - with Beverley available to provide support.
We’re also looking for a General Committee Member to take on the Grants Coordinator role, previously managed so capably by Glenda Nicholson, who will also be on hand to assist.
We encourage all eligible members - including Junior and Family members - to consider nominating or volunteering. There are also many opportunities to help outside the formal committee, especially for parents and Junior competition players:
- Assist on Saturday mornings with the Junior convenor Rohan and Coach Daniel
- Remind players about ball money
- Organise or help with the canteen roster
- Welcome new members and visitors
- Help plan Junior social functions
The Minutes of the 2024 AGM and Agenda for the 2025 AGM will be sent out 10 days prior to the meeting.
Annual Working Bee – 1pm, Sunday 14 September
Following the AGM, we’ll hold our Annual Working Bee. This is a great chance for all members to pitch in and help tidy up the clubhouse, courts and grounds.
BBQ sausages and drinks will be available for purchase for lunch.
We look forward to seeing you at the Club!
