We'd love to have you with us!
Burnt Bridge Tennis Club at Peter Vergers Reserve, Maroondah Highway, Ringwood was formed more than 40 years ago and provides a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities. The club is managed by a committee elected by the members. A list of Committee members and contact details can be found here.
Memberships
A variety of memberships are available and you can contact our Membership Secretary, Glenda Nicholson, membershipbbtc@gmail.com for details. Fees for the year are listed below.
All team members are required to be financial when playing (Junior and Senior).
If you are not a current financial member please be advised that your insurance under Tennis Victoria will not be active and you will not be covered while you are playing anywhere.
Please read the emails we send as this is our major form of communication.
A list of current financial members will be available near the phone and updated as needed.
Members may obtain a key to the courts by following the process below.
1. Request a key from the Membership Secretary once your membership is active. Our Rules for the Use of BBTC courts will then be forwarded to you to inform you about your responsibilities when at the club in unsupervised sessions. Parents must sign this form before a key will be granted to a junior member.
2. Pay $40 into the Burnt Bridge Account clearly stating the name and key payment.
- Burnt Bridge Tennis Club Inc.
- BSB 633000
- Acc 194892840
3. Upon payment of the $40, the Membership Secretary will notify the Coach, Daniel Kittelty, to give out a key at an appropriate arranged time. Daniel will ask you to read and sign for the key stating you have read the policy prior to collecting the key. The form will be kept on file at the club.
For a copy of the key policy please access this link
4. When membership ceases the key will need to be returned to the club in a named envelope and either put in the box outside the clubhouse or given to Daniel or his coaching team. A refund of the amount paid minus $10 for administration and key cutting will then be returned to you.
Members may invite friends or family to play on vacant courts, usually on Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and weekdays before 4pm plus some weeknights in daylight hours during summer after 7pm. On application to the Committee members may play under lights when they are being used on other courts and there are spare courts. A fee will be charged for use of the lights. The cost of a non-member (accompanied by a member) to play is $5 per session. Juniors under 12 are free. We encourage all visitors to become members of the club. Members using the courts for casual play should be reminded to wear the correct footwear and make sure the courts are bagged and watered after play.
Membership Payment
There are currently 2 methods of paying your membership, credit card and direct credit. Club Spark is an online system designed to simplify our club's administration duties and helps connect us to our participants by providing a platform that creates more opportunities to find, access and participate in tennis – more easily and more often. Even if you do not wish to pay your membership by credit card this will enable you to update your own changes of email, phone or address. If you wish to pay by direct credit then you will still need to join online and select other for the payments and follow through with payment into our bank account.
1. By credit card
Follow the prompts below to pay via credit card. In the case of a junior, the junior should join not the parent, with the parent as the contact.
2. By direct payment to our account
Burnt Bridge Tennis Club Inc. BSB 633000 Acc 194892840.
All bank transfers should include name of member(s).
This should be accompanied by a copy of the payment receipt and for a new member, current details of address, phone number and email address as soon as possible after the payment. The copies can be sent electronically to membershipbbtc@gmail.com or dropped off in hard copy to the Secretary box in the clubhouse or mailed to P.O. Box 8172 Croydon 3136.
In 2023 we introduced a coaching membership so those being coached and who were not members were also contributing to the cost of maintaining our facilities. The first term of coaching is a trial term and anyone continuing after that will need to pay the coaching membership fee which lasts for a year from the time they first pay. Everyone playing in a team needs to be a full member of the club and is able to obtain a key for the front gate. Parents will need to sign the key policy for junior members.
Coaching members who have paid that fee and swap to full membership, can have their remaining coaching fee for the year put towards their full membership.
We look forward to welcoming you and your families to Burnt Bridge Tennis Club!
Payment for memberships works best using Google Chrome or Firefox browsers.
