Interesting Tennis Players

The richest tennis player of all time is not Roger Federer but Ion Tiriac. Born in Romania, Ion Tiriac was known as "Dracula" and represented his country in table tennis, ice hockey, and tennis. After retiring from tennis, he became a successful businessman and coach. His fortune is estimated to be over $1.5 billion, and he is known for his collection of over 400 vintage cars.

The Future of Australian Local Tennis

Tennis remains the second most popular organized sport in Australia, but it faces challenges as Australians turn to less structured activities. Adult social play is seen as the biggest growth opportunity, and coaches are encouraged to put more people on the court. Covid gave tennis a minor boost, and local tennis is expected to remain resilient, especially in regional areas.

Monday Social Tennis

Please note: Social tennis is still being played on Mondays at 1:00pm, subject to weather.
