Upcoming Dates to Remember!

Keyless Access Coming!

We are excited to announce that the Bright Tennis Club will be going keyless from 15th August 2024. Members will need to book online through play.tennis.com.au to receive an access code. Courts will remain free for members and available for hire to non-members. Further instructions will be sent out closer to the date.

Future Leaders Program

If you're a student in years 9-11 and passionate about tennis, this leadership camp is for you! Register for the Future Leaders Program before 5th August. Harry Dudley's Wheelchair Tennis Success

Junior member Harry Dudley had an outstanding performance in the Brisbane & Queensland Wheelchair Open Tournaments. He won the junior consolation final in Brisbane and was runner-up in the junior doubles. In the Queensland event, Harry made it to the quarterfinals. Harry also competed internationally in Canada, reaching the men's semi-finals in the Vancouver International.

Harry is currently ranked 23rd in juniors and 237th in the men's ITF rankings. Well done, Harry!

Pennant Results

  • 2024 Tuesday Night Summer/Autumn Winners: Team Kelpie (Charlotte Paton, Michelle Yarwood, David Chlebna & Raph Baris) defeated the Terriers 6-0.
  • 2023 Wednesday Night Spring/Summer Winners: Team Crispy (Edith Café, Elissa Pernu, Sheryl Buckland & Tracy Carey) finished with 39 sets.
  • Runners-up Team Pendles: Cathy Lennon, Ashlea Devitt, Ciaran O'Connor & Drew Carey.
  • 2023 Tuesday Night Spring/Summer Winners: Team Howe (Nick McGovern, Colin Dudley, Harry Pearce & Jody Vlahandreas).

Daphne and Norman Come to Bright

The Australian Open Trophies, Daphne and Norman, were on display at the Bright Tennis Club last October. About 80 people attended the event, enjoying some tennis, music, and food while getting a glimpse of these prestigious trophies. A special thank you to Tennis Victoria for making this possible!
