OVERVIEW
The Bright Tennis Club is seeking a club coach who will operate as an independent contractor to the Club. The successful applicant will have exclusive rights to provide professional coaching services at the Club to both members and non-members.
You will operate alongside a supportive, forward thinking and energetic committee who are open to new ideas.
You will demonstrate professionalism, self-motivation and a growth mindset seeking to continuously improve and innovate. The coach will be expected to deliver a variety of lessons such as Hotshots, Private Lessons, Cardio Tennis and Group Lessons.
Contract Term: 3 years
Key Responsibilities:
– To deliver the highest quality professional coaching services across all target markets including Junior and Adult coaching services.
– Responsible for the provision of coaching aids and equipment to conduct coaching lessons
– Provision of private and group coaching as requested, catering for different ages and ability levels, including juniors from early primary school level onwards.
– Coordination of Junior competition (Saturday morning) and support a competition pathway for juniors to ensure junior growth & retention
– Promotion and running of club championships (annual) and inter club days
– Support adult competition
– To work with the Club to meet the Club’s objectives of occupancy and membership.

Hours available: Access to Courts is all hours by agreement with club, excepting club competition nights & days which are from 7pm on Tuesdays and 6pm on Wednesdays. Junior Competition 10 – 12 on Saturdays.

START DATE : 1 February 2023 (or earlier to allow handover with retiring coach)

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have successfully completed one (or more) of the following courses:
(a) Junior Development Coaching Course (formerly referred to as Level 1 or Development);
(b) Club Professional Course (formerly referred to as Level 2 or Advanced);
(c) High Performance (formerly referred to as Elite).
Must be a Tennis Australia coach member or be able to provide proof of adequate insurance, qualification, Working With Children Checks and First Aid certification.
