Reopening Plans

Dear Members,

I hope you are all coping under the current circumstances. We are looking forward to the restrictions being eased and the tennis club gradually reopening. This message is just to outline the current plans of the club for reopening.

You have probably noticed that invoices for membership have not yet been sent. The committee has decided that while the club is closed, it is inappropriate to charge membership. When the club is allowed to reopen you will receive a membership invoice via our new ClubSpark system. This is the same system which is used for Book a Court. With this new system we are moving to 12 month membership from the date of purchase or invoicing, rather than all memberships for each year ending on 30 June. The terms for membership payment will be 30 days. During that time you will have full membership access and will be able to book courts at members' rates. If your membership is not paid within 30 days, you will no longer have full membership access and will only be able to book at casual rates.

We anticipate that the first step in lifting lockdown restrictions will only allow 10 players to be at the club simultaneously. Consequently, our plan is to open five courts for singles play only. We will also be limiting bookings for members to 2 hours per day and for casual players to 1 hour per day.

Hopefully we will be able to see you at the tennis club soon.

Regards, Simon Clarke (on behalf of the committee).
