SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Over the holiday season we have seen the courts being used continuously with our summer programs supervised by our coaches and casual and social play by locals and visitors alike. It is great to see so many players enjoying their tennis and our facilities.
Competition resumes on Saturday 3rd February.
MIDWEEK LADIES
We have entered 4 teams for the upcoming Summer Season which commences Tuesday 30th January. They are in Divisions 1,3,5 and 6.
There are spots for emergencies for the teams if you are interested please contact Emma on 0425 771 336.
SENIOR TENNIS
Our 3 senior sides have started strongly in the first part of the season.
Section 1 Open have a 4, 4 and 2 washouts record after round 10 and six 6th but have had some very close matches and will challenge strongly for the 4.
Section 1 Men are sitting in first place with a 7-1 win loss ratio with 2 washoutsand look the team to beat leading into the finals.
Section 6 Open are 3rd with a 5-3-2 start and can go deep into the finals as they are only 3 points off top spot. This young team are acquitting themselves very well.
JUNIOR TENNIS
Our 17 junior teams are all acquitting themselves well. 5 teams are in top or second and half of our teams are in the top 4.
Our 7 beginner teams in Green Ball and Orange Ball competitions are learning the skills and etiquette to become good team tennis players. We look forward to seeing them progress their tennis.
A special thanks to the team managers, parents and coaches who put so much time into the children.
CARDIO TENNIS - HIT YOUR WAY TO FIT! HAVE FUN WITH CARDIO TENNIS.
Cardio tennis remains very popular.
We now have 6 sessions running on Mondays and Thursdays.
Mondays times are 9:15 am. 10:30am and 8 pm
Thursdays times are 9:15 am. 10:30am and 7:15 pm.

No 23. Prepare Early For Groundstrokes
Once you know where the ball is going to bounce, move yourself into a position where you feel comfortable playing the shot. Take your racquet back early preferably before the ball has bounced. The higher you make your backswing, the more power you will generate. Finding the right balance between the swing and force is the key
