Barwon Heads Tennis Club playground, located at 2B Geelong Road, Barwon Heads was installed in 1987 and is soon to undergo a much-needed renewal of the playground equipment.

As part of the City's Play Strategy, this playground has been identified for renewal in 2026. The renewal program will ensure Barwon Heads Tennis Club playground has somewhere for visitors to run, swing, slide and climb, with the installation of new play equipment.

The new design will include:

• Double swing - toddler and standard
• Basket swing
• Double slide
• Junior slide
• Climbing elements
• Two rockers
• Spinner
• Small rope climber
• Monkey Bars
• Two turn over poles
• Shop front
• Activity panels

The old playground is scheduled to be removed in May, with the playground to be installed in June 2026.

The outcome of this project will result in greater participation opportunities alongside health and wellbeing outcomes for the local community.
