The Junior Grand Finals were played on Saturday 9th April. Barwon Heads had 6 out of 17 teams eligible to make the Grand Finals. A record 4 teams went onto win their Grand Finals.

Section 1 played to a very high standard against Geelong Lawn Black. This match saw the two top teams in the division play against each other. Well done to Curtis, Jack, Finn, Charlie and Lily on their win with the final score being 4 - 31 to Geelong Lawn's 2- 22. A great result for the team after a strong season.

Section 8 Boys team of Jasper, Cooper, Michael, Oscar and Fynn won against Waurn Ponds in straight sets 6-36 to Waurn Ponds' 0-15. A good performance from the team after finishing 3rd on the ladder.

Section 12 Boys Blue saw Flynn, Yanni, Harry and Ben had a win over Geelong Lawn with the score of 4-31 to 2-23

Section 15 Boy Blue also had a great day winning their Grand Final 4-30 to 2-17. Well done to Kenji, Teal, Bay, Archer and Albert on a great season and being the only Barwon Heads team to finish on top of the ladder.

Our two girls teams in the Grand Finals weren't quite as fortunate, both teams finished their seasons on 3rd of the ladder and faced strong competition from the 1st and 2nd placed teams so should still be proud of their performances throughout the season.

Section 3 Girls put on a good performance to lose to the top team, Drysdale 2 -23 to 4-34. Well done to Alice, Sarah, Makayla and Claudi on a great Finals performance and season overall.

Section 5 girls lost in a nail bitter match against Inverleigh losing by only 2 games. The final score Inverleigh 3-25 to 3-23. Well done to Mikka, Siena, Lila and Ava on a great season.

Well done to all our Junior player on another great season and looking forward to another successful season this winter.

THIS MONTHS TENNIS TIP:

6 Concentrate On The Point You Are Playing

You need to focus on the now, forget about what has just happened or what is about to happen, and focus on the point that you are playing. Getting frustrated about a past line call will not help you win the next point.
