Celebrating 70 Years of AUCTC

Our 70th anniversary celebration at Riversdale Golf Club on Friday, June 2nd, was a night filled with laughter, memories, and a deep sense of community. With 58 members and guests in attendance, including representatives from Waverley District, Tennis Victoria, Ashburton Uniting Church, and our local state MP, the event underscored the significance of community sport for fostering wellbeing and unity.

The room was adorned with memorabilia that took us on a journey through the decades, showcasing banners of past competition triumphs. A special handout, listing every team from the past 70 years, served as a nostalgic reminder of our club’s rich history.

A special thank you goes out to the many volunteers, past and present, whose dedication has been instrumental in shaping AUCTC into the vibrant, successful club it is today. Your contributions, both big and small, have left a lasting legacy, and this celebration was as much a tribute to your hard work as it was to our shared love of tennis.

It was a night that truly reflected the essence of AUCTC – friendship, camaraderie, and community spirit.
