The Senior Ladies and Mens Championships were conducted on 14 December 2020 and matches were closely contested. The eventual results were: Ladies winner – Elaine Ly, by one game, with Genevieve Visser Hook as Runner Up; Mens winner – Jack Kelly, with Riley Warren as Runner Up, following a tie-break in the play off.

The Junior Girls Championship was played on the morning of 7 January 2021, with seven of our Junior girls contesting strongly for the trophy. The final to determine the winner was between Maggie Bryant and Florence Gill, which was won by Florence who thereby took out the Championship.

In the afternoon of 7 January, the boys took to the court and again there were seven players, this time contesting for the Junior Boys Championship. There were some very entertaining matches along the way and ultimately Joseph Afford and Taj de Clifford played off for the trophy. In the end Joseph prevailed, thereby winning the Championship for the second successive year.

Then on 19 January the six boys from the Section 11 Boys team (who hadn’t played on 7 January) took part in a short tournament between themselves. In effect, this was a division two of the Championships. Once again there was some great tennis played, with Teddy McMahon winning a very close final against James Whitehead.
