Tennis Seniors Australia proudly announces Ros Balodis (ACT) as the 2023 Player of the Year, following an extraordinary season highlighted by her unmatched performance on the global stage.

Ros's exceptional year was highlighted by her flawless singles performance, leading the Australian Women’s over 65 team to the Kitty Godfree Cup victory in Spain, and clinching both the World Championships 65 women’s singles and the 65 mixed doubles titles. Her dominance in tennis is further underscored by winning singles events at the Australian championships in Swan Hill and Oceania, maintaining her status as the World #1 in 65+ singles and mixed doubles, and remaining undefeated in Australia in singles for over two decades. Ros was also a joint winner of the Newcombe Medal for 30+ seniors in 2023.

Nominated by Pat Moloney, Ros Balodis is celebrated not just for her unparalleled achievements on the court but also for her integrity, sportsmanship, and the respect she commands among peers.
