Tennis Seniors Australia Administrator for 2024 - Paul Moss

In April 2024, Paul concluded nearly seven years as President of TSWA (2017 – 2024), which is the longest term served by any past-President in WA.

During 2024, Paul has added to his many achievements as President by writing a book, “For the Love of the Game”, on the history of the Association (1972 –2024). This book was published in December 2024. This is a 300 page book on WA’s tennis seniors’ history.

In addition to writing the book, Paul has organised the third annual induction ceremony for WA players into the TSWA Hall of Fame. To date, there have been three award ceremonies and 14 players inducted. Paul researched and published the achievements of players inducted. The Hall of Fame concept was initially conceived by Paul a couple of years ago, and is a recognition of WA’s rich tennis seniors’ history.

Paul remains an active member of the TSWA Executive Committee, assisting with the merger of operations with Tennis West and the establishment of a trust fund for Seniors’ tennis in WA amongst other committee matters.

Paul was elected to serve two terms as President of TSA in 2022 and 2023. Unfortunately, health issues brought his tenure to a premature end in September 2023. However, during his time as President, Paul led the organization towards better working relationships with Tennis Australia, including in relation to the management and funding of Masters’ representative teams, role clarity between TA and TSA, sponsorship for seniors’ tennis and towards hosting a world masters’ event in Australia. TSA’s internal costs were reduced, and a new strategic plan was adopted during Paul’s tenure as President. He also led the development of a new website for TSA.

“Whilst Paul is being nominated for his administration contribution, he embodies what the philosophy of Tennis Seniors is all about: Competitive and passionate on court, and builder of relationships and lover of fellowship off the court. All done for the love of the game.” – Aldis Purins, nominee
