Court Resurfacing

Our courts don't last forever - every 7-10 years we need to replace the surfaces of two courts.  We are getting close to the time when we will need to resurface courts 2 and 4.  Like everything these days, this is going to be an expensive job. 

As of April 2025, we estimate the cost to be $110,000.  The club committee has been putting money aside for this and we currently have about $30,000 in the bank.

In the past, we have relied on grants from local government to help with major infrastructure costs like this but these grants are becoming ever harder to obtain.  The more money we can contribute, the better our chances of obtaining a grant. 

To that end, we have launched a fundraising campaign with the Australian Sports Foundation with an aspirational target of $80,000.  Working with the ASF allows us to offer tax-deductibility for any donations people make to our project.

Fundraising Activities

As a not-for-profit club, we rely on membership fees and fundraising to maintain and improve our facilities. Notable fundraising events include Bunnings BBQs, which have raised thousands of dollars over the years.

• Saturday 22nd January 2018. $1400 was raised.
• Saturday 8th October 2016. $2000 was raised.
• Saturday, 9th July 2016. $1500 was raised.
• Saturday, 11th July 2015. $1500 was raised.
• Saturday, 5th April 2014.  $1200 was raised.
• Saturday, 6th October 2012.  $1500 was raised.
• Saturday, 9th July 2011.  $1745 was raised.  
• Sunday, 15th August 2010. $1400 was raised.
• Friday, 1st January 2010. $850 was raised
• Tuesday, 29th December 2009. $900 was raised.
• Sunday, 18th January 2009. $1200 was raised.
