Dear HPTC member,
Spring has arrived and we hope you're enjoying the warmer weather. It may be the off season but there's plenty happening at the club. Firstly, we would like to congratulate the following teams for winning their WDTA Winter 2025 grand final:
-A1 Rubbers, taking out the final after a deciding tiebreak
-B Special 3, securing victory in a tight doubles match
We also commend our Juniors C 1 Triples and D Special 1 Triples teams and Seniors B Special 2 team for earning runners up honours.
Club Championships
The club is happy to announce that we will be hosting our Club Championships on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of October. If you're looking to start the WDTA Summer Season in form, which starts on the 11th of October, then this is a great opportunity to pick up some practice along with other club members. Junior and Seniors sections are up for grabs in both singles and doubles. Furthermore, a unified tennis section will be offered which is open to all players of all abilities. Final details of sections and the tournament will be finalised according to numbers. Entries will also be welcome on Saturday the 4th. We hope to see you there, and don't hesitate to spread the word!
Clubhouse Redevelopment
It's official, the clubhouse will be undergoing renovations from Monday the 22nd of September. We apologise for the short notice as these details have only been finalised recently. During the renovations, which are expected to be completed in early 2026, access to the courts will change. In summary, the standard book a court gate will be inaccessible, and primary court entry will be through the side gate next to Court 1.
