Major Capital Works Project - Hardcourts and Fencing

The Hadfield Tennis Club successfully recieved grant funding from the Moreland City Council for Major Capital Works.

For this project, we recieved funding to re-lay our 4 Hard Courts with Plexipave Hardcourt as well as replace old rusting fencing.

The Grant Application stated the following goals for the courts.

Safety - This is the primary reason that resurfacing is needed at this time. Plexi Cushion Hard courts harden over time, especially under Australian conditions, where the surfaces become more slippery, and crack. It is critical that with the increased usage these Plexi Cushion Hard courts need to be made safe for Moreland LGA residents to use.

Longevity - To ensure these courts last as long as possible without any major relaying works. This resurfacing process will involve cleaning, repairing (any divots, cracks etc) and then re-surfacing with 2 layers of Plexipave Hardcourt

Remain relevant - Hadfield is going through a great period of growth in our local community. It is critical that we continue to keep our facilities current, safe and to a quality standard, to enable this continued growth.
