Men's Summer Social Comp - FINAL

Lachlan Date has been crowned champion of the first men’s competition held in Griffith for more than a decade.
Going into the final round, Brendan Augustus looked certain to come second. But he was unfortunately paired with club President Jacques in the final round, who moved around the court like President Biden. The pair tanked and Blake Rayworth slid into second.

GOLD - Lachlan Date - 225
SILVER - Blake Rayworth - 185
BRONZE - Brendan Augustus - 183

Congratulations to tournament organiser Date, who led from Round 1 and revived the competition made famous by former club president Peter Cunial many years ago.

In breaking news, club veteran Andrew Noad announced he will be making his comeback to competitive tennis and taking the stage for next season men’s comp, which starts in early May.
Noady, who pushed Nick Kyrgios to the brink at the 2010 MIA Open, will be one of five strong newcomers to the tournament.

Thank you to all players for a wonderful season as we look forward to expanding.

While we’re already fully subscribed for next season, message us if you’d like to be reserve or are interested in future comps, social tennis or casual hits.
