Mitch Smith and his merry band of helpers, especially Col and Vaughan, have delivered another blockbuster Tuesday night swingers season. The reputation of this iconic swinger’s competition continues to grow as does Mitch as a master organiser. Congratulations to Col and his team, Dave, Adam, and Brayden who got the job done in the grand final over Nick, Jared, Ben, and Trent. It will burn deeply over the summer for those four lads. Time may be the only healer. For Col it is his second championship in a row, and he had the strut going afterwards. Victory will come at a cost with Col and his new team now household names in South Aspendale. There was an eery silence from the crowd during play and that was pure tension and hearts in mouth.

The battle for the wooden spoon saw Mitch come home with that trophy. Although Mitch said most of the credit should go to his teammates Bruce, Vaughan, and Andrea. For Hayden, Bob, Jason, and Moon it was just nice to miss out on the shame and infamy.

Thanks so much to Dee and Karla who provided a spread for the ages after the grand final and the entertainment carried on into the wee hours.

Don’t forget next Tuesday night for social hit and pizza. Last hit before XMAS. We have been unable to come up with an MVP as the standard was so high. Might be for discussion next week over a pizza, lemonade and sass.
