RCTC April Newsletter

Great to see lots of members have been using the courts over the past month, courts 1 & 2 have been particularly busy with everyone wanting to try the new surface. Even with a little bit of rain they still play beautifully.

Thank you to Karen & Catherine for organising the Easter Raffle, there will be three prizes and the winners will be drawn on Saturday 9th April at 1.00pm. So if you haven’t organised tickets get in quick.

We also were asked by council to marshal at their Maroondah Night Fun Run last Friday night, thank you to the 15 members that volunteered we made over $300 for the club.

Upcoming events for April –

ERT junior tournament – our 8 en-tout-cas courts have been hired by ERT to use for their junior tournament from Thursday 14th April till Saturday 16th April. So, if you want to play tennis over Easter you can still book courts 1 & 2. As an extra fundraising opportunity, we run a canteen during this tournament for the hungry kids. If you can spare a few hours over Easter, we need volunteers, please ring Sue 0401 178 499 if you can help.

Pizza & Play night – Last Friday of every month, this month it will be on 29th April from 6.00pm till 9.00pm. Cost is Adults $10 & Kids $5.

Last month we were again very happy with the large number of members that came out to play, socialize & eat pizza. Bring a friend all are welcome.

Twilight Working Bee – Friday 22nd April from 5.30 till 7.30pm. Come alone & help tidy up your club, we need some weeding, pruning & general court maintenance done, many hands make light work.

Bunnings BBQ – Saturday 24th April at Ringwood Bunnings. If you can help please ring Chris on 0411 519 174

Special Olympics – there will be no Special Olympics this month, it will resume again in May.
