Southern Ports Tennis Season

Thank you for choosing to play for the Lucindale Tennis club for the upcoming Southern Ports Tennis Season. We hope to follow on from the great success of the 2021/22 tennis season, we will again welcome some new faces to our club. We will again have three Lucindale teams; the Wombats, Cockatoos and Koalas. We also have our Frances/Lucindale team the Eagles. This was an exciting addition last season and the club is looking forward to this partnership continuing into the future.

Our senior teams will be competing against Naracoorte, Robe Roosters and Robe Rebels, Kingston, and Beachport/Millicent and also Penola/Wattle Range who have joined SPTA this season. The majority of games will be played in Lucindale; however, a trip to the seaside towns, Naracoorte Penola or Wattle Range and Frances will be scheduled into our draw. The season will commence on Saturday 22nd October. Grand Final will be 4th March.

Open Day – We will be having a brief working bee and season opening day social hit from 10am on Sunday 16th October. Flyer attached.

Match Day - teams consist of 6 Men and 6 Women, with the format being a Mixed Double (to 6 games),

Single (to 6) and a Double (to 9). Please arrive at the courts by 12.30 ready for a 12.45pm start.

Afternoon Tea at Lucindale is shared and you are asked to bring a plate when playing at Lucindale. Afternoon tea is $2/person, friends and family are invitation to join us for afternoon tea.

Match Day Roster – Each Lucindale team will be rostered on to set-up nets, afternoon tea and clean up at the end of the day on a rotation. As always, it’s important not to leave these tasks to the same people, if everyone shares the load it makes for a great day out for everyone.
