Ainslie Tennis Club Newsletter – Spring Edition 2023
Dear Ainslie Tennis Club Members,
Welcome to the Club’s Spring Newsletter. We have had a very busy last few months and have some great news about the club to pass on to our membership!
Since our last newsletter, we have…
…hot water installed in the clubhouse kitchen and bathroom by the wonderful team at Fluid Plumbing. We highly recommend their services.
…raised $3500 over two Bunnings fundraiser BBQs in August and September. Ainslie Tennis Club members were able to join in the team sausage cooking effort to raise much needed funds for Club improvements.
Thank you to all the coordinators and volunteers!
…had the Bunnings BBQ fundraising efforts used to improve the Book-A-Court system, with a new keypad and an upgraded server to book and access the courts quicker. Book a session and see for yourself.
…had the Ainslie Division 1 Tennis League team win the winter pennant competition winning in the final against Melba 5/1. Well done to the team – Ben Bramble, Tom Condon, Jimmy Chung, Austin Bond, and Dan Lane!
Good luck for the Spring season!
…hosted a birthday at the Club House for Ainslie Tennis Club member Joanne. Joanne hired the venue for her 50th birthday, which was a roaring success. You can read Joanne’s letter to the Ainslie Tennis Club Committee about the event here.
Members are welcome to hire the clubhouse and courts for their future celebrations too!
…had a visit in September from Alicia Payne MP, the federal Member for Canberra to discuss the Club’s ambitions and challenges, with a view to continuing discussions for possible federal grants going forward.
Thank you to all the Club members that make all these exciting and valuable events happen! And remember you can make a tax-deductible donation to the club to support further club improvements.
